Harassment of students in Fuoye by anunkwon gang headed by jide [Udoh]

 It is no longer a news that staff and students of Federal University Oye-Ekiti have been harassed severally by an unknown gang headed by a local, jide popularly called "UDOH". This notorious udoh and his gang members have been harassing, threatening, extorting and manipulating students staying in Irona quarters and its environs since the school academic year commenced in 2012.

Jide (udoh) has been harassing female students sexually, physically and psychologically; if they refuse his sexual advances they become his enemy. A first year student who is a victim of this harassment told us her story, she said '' i met udoh when i was searching for accommodation, he claimed to be an agent, he showed me some houses that didn't satisfy me and eventually i found a comfortable place by myself. subsequently udoh has been calling me asking me to be his girlfriend. one fateful night, at about 7pm i received a call from udoh, he asked me to come outside my room and immediately i stepped out he started beating me, he collected my phone and smashed it on the ground and he threatened to stab me with a bottle if I keep refusing his sexual advances. He also said he will decide my punishment but for now he doesn't want to see me with any boy else i will be in serious mess in this town and i will also wash his clothes for 1 semester ''.

This same notorious udoh and his gang stormed another female student apartment on the 13th of may 2013, at about 8pm. This student whose fiancé was visiting from Lagos was harassed and beaten mercilessly when he refused to let them harass his fiancée sexually. The apartment was raided and 45000 naira was collected from them.

The male students have not been an exception, quite a number of them have been threatened with guns, knives, broken bottles, axes and other deadly weapons; beaten up, extorted and invited to join their gang (cult).

on one fateful market day, a 200level male student was stopped on his way to the market by this same notorious udoh and 3members of his gang. they assulted this student physically siezed his phones and put a knife to his throat that he should give them all the cash in his pocket, he gave them his cash and they returned his phones and invited him to come for initiation promising him a VIP initiation.

These events prompted some students to report to the school's security unit and the students affairs division. The school authority informed the royal father and the police force who worked together and they were able to arrest the notorious udoh. investigations are being carried out to fish out every member of this notorious gang so they can face the law and the school authority can sieve out students of this great university who has been initiated willingly or forcefully and appropriate punishment .
